Raining on my Nose...and other goodies

Posted by ChoirGirl in NC on June 26, 2001 at 17:54:04:

Just a short note to catch up.
Got my FF mask and my heated humidifier. FF mask leaked no matter how tight I yanked it onto my face. Heated humidifier does just great except every now and then, even tho I keep it in the same temp, it gets a wild hair and starts raining on my nose. Then I pull it off my face and the water runs down my neck. Have talked the doc into prescribing me an autopap (yay! Hooray!) in hopes that the fluctuating pressure might keep the FF mask from leaking. The thing (The mask, that is) whistles and poops so loud it wakes my husband!
I found out last week what would happen if my CPAP stopped blowing while I was asleep. I woke up with a "something isn't right" feeling and found out that my pillow had fallen off my bed and disconnected the electrical plug from the outlet. Just glad it didn't catch fire! At least I know now I won't smother.
Well I guess this note wasn't so short after all! Will close now ... Sweet dreams and God bless!
