Another factor that many of us forget about is the shape of our nostrils. Look in the mirror and you will see two ovals at a slight angle to each other.
Look at the nasal pillows on the shell, and you see two ovals. If the ovals of the pillows don't match the ovals of your nostrils, they leak.
Sometimes we have to deal with complex issues with this stuff :)
