I'm not familiar with your machine, but adjusting your own pressure is generally a no-no. Part of your husband's sleep study should have included a "triation" or ajustment of the pressure to fit his needs. (Pressure settings vary with each individual.) Your husband's pressure should have been set by the DME provider according to the doctor's prescription when it was delivered.
