Georgia Girl:
Unfortuntately, not.
I have the same problem, and contacted all CPAP Mfr's and asked about filters (and how fine they filter). Bottom line - the "ultra-fine" filters will get pollen and normal houshold dust - but not dust mite particles. You need a near HEPA filter for that (actually I think you need a filter that gets 0.8 micron particles), which would mean a larger fan and power supply to handle increased filter flow resistance (and you could burn out - or at least shorten the life of a CPAP by inserting a filter with more air resistance than designed for).
Keeping the bedroom clean. No carpet - or treat the carpet periocically for dustmites, a big job I will admit. Encasing the mattress and pillows, running a room sized HEPA air filter worked for me. Now my bedroom is hardwood floors, and soon the last carpet in this house will be gone (I'm buying the house).
I wish you well with this. Trust me - I do understand.
