Heated humidifier is the only way to go. Fischer and Paykel is the leader in humdifiers I think and the unit runs about $350 but is durable.

You probably don't have much choice on the cpap machine but you do on the masks.

Nasal masks are more popular, adam circuit or the breeze (which can come with nasal pillows and a mask so you can switch). You might have to pay a little more to get one of these. Also the mirage mask is nice.
