Hi All
The availability of CPAP software varies from country to country. It seems that the USA has the greatest restriction and I believe this determined by the FDA, not by the CPAP manufacturers.
In Australia it is relatively easy to get. With a note (not prescription) from your Dr, you can buy it direct from ResMed. Many suppliers of CPAP will supply it, some will ask a few questions to ensure you know what you are talking about.
In some other countries, it is even more freely available and can be got on mail order. I know CPAP users in the US who have bought it from overseas on mail order.
I have found it an essential support to my use of the machine, especially managing leaks, identifying seasonal differences in apnea, and knowing the effect of changes in rhinitis. It is very easy to use, especially if you have a laptop you can put beside it to look at the each night's information in the morning and add comments in the inbuilt diary.
Regards
Baz
