Restless Leg Syndrome? Mask Problems TOO!

Posted by Hubie on August 17, 2001 at 13:09:38:

I talked to my Doctor recently about the results of my sleep test. My apneas are mild, only 13 per hour, my saturation was at 82%, but apparently I have another condition that I think the Doctor called restless leg syndrome. What the heck is that? According to my test I am being awaken almost 59 time per hour by RLS. The Doc put me on a medication called Mirapex, but the medicine made me a total insomniac. I couldn't sleep at all. I'm waiting to hear back from the doctor about another type of treatment. Is there anyone else on the forum that has this restless leg problem? Any advise on successful treatment?
Also, My mask is tearing the bridge of my nose up. I look like I,ve been whacked between the eyes with a 2x4. I've tried padding, Band-Aids, and running the mask as loose as possible without leakage. I'd like to try another mask. Any Suggestions? How about the Phantom?
