There are two types of sleep apnea. Obstructive sleep apnea which is a physical blockage (or blockages) of the airway, and central sleep apnea which is a neuralogical condition in which the individual lacks an effort to breath.
Obstructive sleep apnea is by far the more common, with true central apnea being somewhat rare.
The symptoms you describe could indeed be obstructive sleep apnea, or perhaps central apnea. For a proper diagnosis of either condition you need to see a board certified sleep doctor and have a sleep test.
Hope this helps.

No problem with the language part. You do quite well. Since I am only able to speak a few words in Spanish, and slightly more (about 20 instead of 15) in the Turkish language, I sure wouldn't complain!
