No promises, Tom, but I found the increased freedom of movement was important to me and my back. However, note that I generally do NOT have back problems in my life (everything else, but my back is fine!), so I am not discounting other back issues. Also note Perry's comments about his back pains in this thread, which I don't have and thus never considered a problem.
