OSA on the sports page!

Posted by Brian in Columbus, GA on August 18, 2001 at 10:29:17:

A wonderful article about a University of Alabama football player with OSA appeared in my local paper today. The summary is that his strength, grades, and attitudes have improved after beginning CPAP therapy in the spring. It talks about how he was struggling academically and in danger of becoming academically ineligible to play. He has gone from getting F's to getting B's and C's. He also says he had been getting mean and anti-social, and now he is a happy person. The article includes a side-bar about sleep apnea and a reference the ASAA web site. I am including a connection to the article online, but it might be there for only a day.http://www.l-e-o.com/content/columbus/2001/08/18/sports/0818alabama.htm
