Nope, just feeling "refreshed" is not proof that apnea is gone. Plenty of people feel well enough with their sleep apnea untreated, but they still have sleep apnea. For one thing, it's only after being successfully treated that they realize that "feeling fine" is a relative thing. I can spend a few nights without CPAP and still feel pretty good, in fact. I did it after nasal surgery once.
