Kevin - my Dr. originally put me on the Trazodone to try to get me into a deeper sleep. We hadn't anticipated that it would actually stop the leg movements (if the neurologist knew that this was a possibility, she didn't tell me or my Dr.). Since the Trazodone doesn't make me sleepy, I suspect that it's actually the absence of leg movements that is permitting me to reach deeper levels of sleep (along with the cpap controlling the apnea). I've started having dreams almost every night - which is suppose to be indicative of REM. (I use to be lucky to have dreams a couple of times a year.) I hope you are able to find something that helps you as much as this medication has helped me!
