Hi Mary...

The formula for the vinegar rinse Delores shared is the same one my DME tech recommended...50% water to 50% vinegar. However, before using the rinse, I wash my filter and Mirage mask with antibacterial soap and run soapy antibac solution thru the hoses. I clean the entire set-up once a week but wash my mask each morning in antibac soap and let it air-dry.

Er...*blush*...my tech gave me a "lift of the eyebrow" recently 'cause I was having a hard time keeping the silicone mask "bubble" firmly attached to the hard plastic shell. I'd switched from anti-bac soap to my favorite liquid soap - Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Castile...it cleaned well and smelled so much better. It seems I'd forgotten about the peppermint *OIL*! Needless to say I soaked it all for several hours, the problem disappeared and I learned ANOTHER lesson! *grin*
