Somnoplasty was developed by DRs Riley and Powell etc. They have developed or improved most of the sugeries for OSA. So there is experience there. However Somnoplasty has only been approved by FDA since Nov.'98. This would tell you there have been no long-term studies done.

There seem to be a number of people that are jumping on the band wagon and having this done. My thought would be to hold off on any surgery until the long-term success or failures are in.

Success or failures of surgeries are measured differently than a lot of patients think. Talk to your ENT or several, read everything you can on all the surgeries.
This forum has a wealth of information from those who have had different surgeries. Ask your questions and someone will answer.
I think Somnoplasty looks promising but it is far TOO EARLY to tell. Wait, see and do your home work then make up your mind.
