I can't answer your question about air in the stomach, but as far as pressure settings go, I would say that 10 is moderate from what I have read in these forum pages. My setting is at 8 right now, and I have read something on this forum about settings as high as 22. I gather that the requirement can change, up and down, depending on your own situation. There are some people on this forum who have the "smart" cpap machines that modify the pressure as necessary.
