I run the hose up between my mattress and base, and up behind my pillow. There's kind of an optimum length of hose protrusion above my pillow which, for me at least, is long enough to give me adequate freedom of movement, but not so long that the weight of the hose cause it to "flop about" and disrupt the seal. Finding the right length took some experimentation, but about 3 inches of hose (before the overhead hose connection)works for me - but I have a very big head *grin*.
I've also just added a swivel connector to the hose end of my overhead hose (so now I have one at each end). I find this gives me a little more freedom of movement - I tend to thrash around a bit while I'm asleep - without the additional swivel I found the hose connection would work itself loose during the night. The swivel and the hose are both "female" connections, so I use a short piece of 22mm OD PVC pipe to connect the swivel to the hose.
Worth a try if you don't want to drill holes in your walls.

Still Breathin'
