I think that the best place to start on this adventure is to contact Sullivan's tech support and order a 12 Volt DC cord. The instructions that come with it probably will indicate what type of battery or inverter is needed.

I imagine that the 100-amp hour deep cycle marine battery would be fairly standard for our needs.

I'd appreciate hearing from "Grmpyolguy" as to what the requirements are for his system.
