Hi Saint6, you didn't mention whether you had a humidifier or not or whether it was passive or heated. Mine came with a humidifier to start but not heated. I now have a heated humidifier (after I convinced my insurance company wrapping the old one in a heating pad wasn't really safe) and am doing great.

You'll find a lot of discussion about skin irritaion and various bandaids in older forums. I do just the opposite of everyone else (that seems to be typical for me) and put vitamin A and D salve all over my face before I go to bed. This seems to help prevent the straps and mask from irritating my skin. I know this sounds greasy which it is but I find it better than looking red all over. If I don't grease up the mask pulls my skin also.

We all have found different ways to overcome the problems with this but believe me in the long run it is worth it.

Good Luck and Good sleeping,
Marty
