Cathy:

Not only would another polysomnogram (nightime sleep study) be indicated with the symptoms that you are discribing, but also an multiple sleep latency test (MSLT). The MSLT is a series of naps throughout the day to quantify and qualify your level of sleepiness.

There is a possibility that you have more than one type of sleep disorder and this combination of tests along with the opinion of a qualified sleep physician will give you a better idea of what is going on. You could have narcolepsy, periodic limb movement syndrome, idiopathic daytime hypersomnolence to name a few common disorders.

The initial good response that you had would indicate that something has changed and needs further investigation. You sould not have to miss work because you are tired, unless you are just not getting enough sleep.

Good luck!
