I went from the regular pillows to the dialator pillows.

Many people do not seem to like them as well because the tip of the pillow extends well into the nostril. The large dialator sealed better for me than the x-large regular, and other regular sizes I had tried before. When I started using the dialator it seemed the sore nostril problem went away. It could have been been that the nostrils had adjusted to the pillows or it could have been the dialator was less irritating.

You might want to try the dialator style, but it would be a gamble.
