If he has a script from Dr., he could do a rental until his income picks up or job comes along. Hoepfully he would only have to rent a month or so. That would keep costs down so he can survive. Or see if the DME would have a rent to buy program in payment style. They do it for the insurance companies. Another source that has been mentioned here is E-Bay.
