Can you call your psych tonight? Or talk to a crisis worker or an on-call doc tonight?
It is totally understandable that you would feel confused and sad right now. Apnea is a serious medical condition and it does rob us of our quality of life. Time will tell if you still need treatment for depression, but first you need to get started on treatment with CPAP. Trust me, as someone with chronic depression with only 2 months of treatment, I feel like a new woman.
Losing your job right now could be a blessing or a curse - only you can know that. If treatment has you feeling better in 2-3 months, do you still want to be in this job? Or would losing it make your life harder? What are the consequences of calling in sick?
I wish I could e-mail you a bucket of hope...this is treatable and it does get better. Hang in there and keep posting. There is a wealth of knowledge and support here.
Wishing you healing in every way,
Linda
