We on this forum tend to be a compassionate bunch. Towards each other with whom we share a common bond especially. But also with others.

I suspect that over the few years that this forum has been available, we have lost a few, for one reason or another. But most likely those that have gone have had some thought that they may be on their way to another place.

Those that out country lost today died for the most part doing what they do. Whether it be the compassionate acts of the brave fire and police people, or pushing papers in an office.

They were probably thinking about what they were going to do this weekend, or tomorrow, or tonight. They maybe were going to get married, or have a child, or visit their parents or children. Or maybe they were just going to sit home with someone they cared very much for.

We are all going to die. We don't get to pick when. But most of us are not going to have the important moments we have available to enjoy ripped from us in a senseless act.

I, as many of you, am old enough to remember some pretty sad milestones in our countries history. But none as disturbing as this.

I will never forget the disturbing acts that occurred today. I hope that our President see's fit to seek appropriate and swift (and equally memorable) retribution when the responsible parties are found.
