Posted by Alan N. on September 12, 2001 at 05:57:03:My primary care MD refered me to a Nuerologist for my fatigue and dizziness. When I mentioned OSA, he dismmissed it a "rediculous" He claimed I don't have "the body type" or fall asleep during the day. After 2 years of frustration and no answers, I switched doctors, and I finally had a sleep study. You guessed it, the test showed OSA and restless legs and I'm due for a CPAP this month. I'm really upset at how I was brushed off by this aloof doctor, and in the process, my life suffred greatly. Sorry to lament, but I've been bottled up with all this anger and it's hard to share it with those who aren't familiar with this condition.
