Needless to say, like everyone else, I was shocked by yesterdays events. In truth, we all knew something would happen like this someday. We just didn't know how or when. Now that it has happened the shock is real.

I went to our Kiwanis club meeting this morning and one of the members was absent. Her father works at the Pentagon. He works close to where the plane hit, but fortunately he ran a little late to work yesterday and missed the attack by a few minutes. Her brother worked in the World Trade Center. He hasn't been heard from.

It's too late to pray for those who have died. They are already in God's hands. But there are those who are alive. Some are already be in the hospital. Since only a few have been rescued as of this morning, hopefully there are lots of them still alive but trapped within the debris. I pray for them and that the rescuers will reach them before it is too late. I pray for their families. Especially for their children. And I pray for the families of those who have died.

Prayers are also needed for the rescuers. They will suffer from now on from what they will see. Some may not be able to deal with their memories and might never recover. No matter what, they will all take it home to their families.

Its time now to support our President. While good evidence is already being developed as to the perpetrators, it may take some time to develop irrefutable proof. Patience is needed. Then we need to support the absolute destruction of these cowards and anyone, I repeat ANYONE, who helps or harbors them.
