backsliding after improvement

Posted by lac in seattle on September 12, 2001 at 23:41:40:

I started CPAP about 8 weeks ago. Had GREAT results at pressure of only 5, which was prescribed the morning I left my titration study. Saw my sleep doc after 5 weeks and was bumped up to 9 based on the more detailed analysis of my study.
Started going downhill after that...feeling sleepier every day. Called and asked to be reduced to 7...started that last Thursday, but feel worse every day.
Is it normal to get relief, catch up a bit, and then be sensitive to too much pressure?
Do you think 7 is still too high if 5 worked so well?
Feeling desparate here!
Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Linda
