What you may be experiencing is the accumulation of your sleep debt. Now that your body is getting the rest it needs it is coming back and trying to recoup some of the sleep it has been deprived of. Now that I am getting good results with my cpap I am experiencing some of the same problem.
The way I can tell the difference is that since my cpap therapy started really working, I wake up in the morning and once the morning fog clears (20 to 30 minutes) I feel refreshed and have energy. I can stay awake for things now. Later in the day, I get extremely tired and want a nap (I work at home and when I get a little nap I feel great).
When my therapy isn't working, I have all the symptoms of apnea again (exhausted all the time, falling asleep in meetings, falling asleep while driving, etc.)
Though a pressure of 9cm is not really high, it might be contributing to mask leaks. Really look at this. For two years I have fought with mask leaks. They greatly reduced the effectiveness of my treatment. Quite often it seemed like I was getting no benefit. I have recently started trying nasal pillows (Breeze headgear) and am just now starting to get the results we all are looking for.
Look for leaks and get back with your doctor. Stick with it and you will find some answers and will sleep better.
