Have you got your test results yet? I have that hairball feeling, too, it's post nasal drip from sinuses. Usually antibiotics clears it up (as it is usually a sinus infection). I hope your films showed enough for you to the get the meds.By the way, I struggle with this all the time. One thing that helps is breathing lots of steam in the shower and over your boiling water when you make coffee in the morning. Do this after your night on cpap to try to clear the crud out so it doesn't get infected. You can also try irrigating your sinuses with warm saline solution (this is what my ENT recommended). I try to remember to do it every day (but it is not my favorite thing to do so I often forget).
Anyway, I hope things are looking up for you. Please let us all know what happened with your results.
P.S. Are you keeping your hoses and mask and humidifier super clean? And have you cleaned and or changed your cpap filters lately? Also, you might consider asking your DME for new hoses. That's what my ENT had me do after a particularly tenacious sinus infection last year.
Good luck!
