How Loud is really LOUD snoring?

Posted by Snorecurious on September 25, 2001 at 07:23:26:

I have a keen interest on the subject of snoring and have been reading, recording and researching the subject quite extensively.

When I read about people describing snoring, whether their own or somebody else's, they use all kind of descriptive language: champion snorer, heroic snorer, "10" on the richter scale snorer, tonsil flappers, window rattlers, terrible snorer, awful snorer, horrendous snorer and so forth. One can infer from these descriptions that these snorers must be loud -- but how loud is the real loud -- or is it just dependent ona listeners' perceptions?

For those who frequently post on this board, for example, how would you describe YOUR snoring so that it can be more accurately calibrated vs. others'?
