Getting CPAP Equipment Today - Advice needed pls.

Posted by Snorer In Chicago on September 25, 2001 at 09:45:45:

Fellow Snorers,
Thanks to this message board, I have learnt a ton regarding CPAP. I got diagnosed with moderately-severe Sleep Apnea with an RDI of 45 a few weeks ago.

Today, I am calling a home-care company to order my CPAP equipment. I've decided to try the Breeze or the Adams-Circuit, with Nasal Pillows. I don't know what machine to get, except that it has to be Bi-Level. I plan to get: Angle Adaptor, 15 inch hose, Swivel Adaptor, Heated Humidifier.

If you have any suggestions on how to deal with the home-care company, and if I need to be careful about anything when dealing with them, I would greatly appreciate it if you could point them out.
Being 30 years old, and knowing that I will probably be using this for the rest of my life, I would like to start off correctly.

Thanks.
