Hi . . I think one of the things that makes OSA "challenging" is the feeling of isolation we sometimes feel when things aren't going as expected. This Forum is a HUGE help when it comes to that; another resource is meeting together - real time - with others who share the same issues, questions and concerns.

There will be a meeting of folks with a variety of sleep disorders at Overlake Hospital, in Bellevue, WA, on Thursday October 25th at 7:30. The topic for the evening is Insomnia with Dr. Tim Coy.

A.W.A.K.E. ("Alert, Well, and Keeping Energetic") began in 1986 and has been growing rapidly in the United States as a network of support groups and source of information for those with sleep apnea. Meetings deal with a number of sleep topics (such as insomnia); but I feel that, more importantly, they offer an opportunity to get together to share information, encourage and motivate each other!

There's a telephone number on the Overlake Hospital website you can call for more information. I hope to see you there.

Jo
