Humidifier Cranked up to 9, throat still dry.

Posted by Tinman on October 06, 2001 at 12:48:18:

I'm waking up with a very dry throat around 3 am. I have my humidifier cranked up to 9 and yet I'm still dry. I have a nasal and a Mirage FF mask and both give me the same problem. Is it a mouth breathing issue? Is one better for keeping the throat moist? Suggestions, thoughts, remedies?

PS. The manufacturer of the humidifier should have put a more user friendly knob on the temp setting. Trying to fiddle with that flat dial at 3 am is a real chore!
