Thanks for your input Cue. My next problem is that when I do tape my mouth closed, I get balloons full of air in my mouth, that wakes me, then I swallow the air. Woke up this morning with what felt like a bruised intestine from all of the air it was holding! I'm giving up on the tape and going to try your tongue exercise.
