You can use the digital display on the machine to find out what pressure it is putting out at any time. For a first-timer, "full blast" could actually be a fairly low pressure.
If you pressed the "leak check" button (second from the left on the top of the machine) it will indeed give you "full blast"! Just press it again to get back to the normal automatic mode.
Assuming they left the "SmartStart" setting enabled when they set the machine up, just leave the switch on the back of the machine in the "on" position, put on your mask/pillows, and start breathing. The machine will start automatically. To stop, either press the left-hand button or simply take off the mask or pillows. Once the machine detects that there is no resistance, it will shut down automatically after 3-4 seconds.
(Apria did not give me a manual on my Autoset T, either. This forum helped me learn a lot, plus I did get a manual once I purchased the software from one of the Sleep Mall vendors!)
Happy sleeping!!!
