BTW I find it most useful to think of my head in profile when adjusting the headgear.
Set the back-of-head pad to cup comfortably; set the front-of-head bridge to where it is both comfortable and gently opposing the back pad, to give a very light clamping effect; then push the next section in or out, and the final section up or down, to present the pillows holder comfortably to your nostrils.
Finally adjust the angle of the pillows holder for even pressure and comfort all around your nostrils -- and then repeat the exercise, this time from front to back, to fine tune the rig. That's it, job done. There are no straps to stretch and sag. I can't remember the last time I readjusted or fiddled.
I blow dry the headgear every day by plugging the hose directly into the CPAP and letting it run for 20-30 minutes. I wash the pillows once a week. They can be expected to last 6-12 months and are replaceable for $35.
