Posted by ChoirGirl in NC on October 19, 2001 at 08:28:05:John, I read a little further down on this forum that you went from a straight CPAP to a Tranquility Auto, and found the Tranq. gave you better sleep. I started out with a "loaner" from a sleep doc that was a Tranquility Auto. I had WONDERFUL results from it. I had a level of energy and clarity of mind that I have not had since. About a week before I had to turn it back in and accept a regular CPAP from my insurance co., I started mouth breathing (didn't realize the implications of that at the time) and consequently the bottom fell out of my energy level overnight. I have yet to achieve that level since, or to convince my insurance co. that I need a Tranquility Auto. I tried for a AUTOPAP and they gave me a Virtuoso which did not work for me at all. I guess I am trying to talk myself into spending my own money for one. My question is, is your sleep GREATLY better with the Tranquility? Or was my experience with it just a fluke or the result of initial treatment for my OSA? Thanks in advance!
