Apparently, waking up after six hours of sleep is very common with the first weeks or months of using cpap. This is possibly because your body has had to become very efficient in compressing sleep into a small amount of time. However, you DO need 8 hours of sleep per night! My sleep doc counseled me (when this was happening) to put the mask back on and lie in bed for two more hours. (It was tempting to get up and try to clear up the mess my life was in after years of undiagnosed OSA, but ...) After a few days, I began falling back asleep and eventually I was sleeping eight or nine hours. You'll probably find the same. Good luck!
