Let me try to fill in the dots. First of all, I am able to get enough humidification IF I have the humidifier on high. The problem is the amount of rainout I am getting inside the manifold.

Now on to the other dots:

I have the Sullivan Humidaire humidifier.

I do follow your thinking on hose temp, humidifier operation, and amount of humidity reaching the pillows.

6'2" 165-170 lbs
I probably drink about the same as anyone else and probably need to drink more water.
The saliva thought is probably pretty accurate as I do have a lot of it.

My biggest concern right now is how to insulate the manifold and reduce the condensation in it. The neoprene sounds like a good thought. Any suggestion about where I might find a patch of it? While I do have some extra masks, I don't have anything sized right to cut it from.
