how having a baby affects sleep apnea

Posted by faxperson on October 30, 2001 at 13:59:52:

i just had a baby almost 10 months ago and have been falling asleep during the day. i have been on cpap for three years and after i had the baby i feel like i did before cpap. i had another sleep study done. my pressure was raised to 16 cm. the mask was leaking terribly and i felt even more tired. slept with autoset cpap and pressure was reduced back to 10cm which was where i was before pregnancy. took provigil for about a week and felt jittery. i have since been diagnosed with postpartum depression and have been taking zoloft. i have not been as tired.
can anyone relate?
