Yes, I am alive, just been busy with this crowd of kids of mine :~D. I did real well with pregnancy and CPAP and even post partum. I had PP depression after my last baby, and I was determined to make SLEEP a #1 priority. However, things have gone downhill the older she has gotten and the more sleep I've lost. My biggest problem is that I remove my mask to go get her at night, and then leave it blowing beside me while I feed her. Often I wake up 2 hours later, consequently COUGHING/choking, and put her back in her crib and put my mask on, only to get up at least one more time and do the same scenario. When I am not as exhausted, I feed in 10 minutes, put her back and put my mask on, but there are times, I pass out and sleep at least a couple hours a night without my mask. I use a FF mask, and it is hard to take the hose off, so I remove the mask. I am more tired than when I was 100%compliant. I have an auto pap and found that my OSA was BETTER with pregnancy, and not as good since I delivered, even though I've kept my weight down.
Hang in there with the PP depression. This too shall pass, and you WILL feel better, just look forward to that day and make sleep a #1 priority~that will help. I have let my resolve to get plenty of sleep fall, and I can tell the difference. Getting up for feedings at night doesn't help either. Good luck and enjoy that little one ~ how precious they are~sleepy and all!
