Hi, BostonBoy. Thanks for your concern. Interestingly enough, when Mom went to the doctor today, the MD suggested to her that a sleep study might be in order, given the symptoms that she was exhibiting. This was before Mom even had a chance to mention that I had talked to her about it last night. They are in the process of getting an appointment scheduled. Apparantly there is a relatively new sleep lab site near where she lives, which makes it very convenient for Mom. This MD she is seeing seems to be right on the ball as far as picking up on the nuances. I was very impressed to hear that the doctor initiated the topic of the possibility of sleep disorders playing a role in the stroke and the leg movement thing having a connection as well. I'm especially impressed that this is one medical professional who doesn't dismiss symptoms as "just getting older".
