Untill my pressure was changed from 8 to 14 I loved my CPAP. Not that I liked having to wear it, but I loved what it did for me: stopped all nightly trips to the bathroom, stopped my episodes of tachacardia, memory improving all along, mood greatly improved, energy starting to come back. (I used to go to the bathroom 6 to 15 times a night - literally. My husband used to kid me that I otta just set up camp in there.) For the first time in years I looked forward to going to bed - I would put that thing on and go into a profound state of relaxation knowing I wasn't going to be gasping, or going into tachacardia. The last couple weeks since my pressure has been raised I once again dread going to bed because of all the air leaks but one way or another I'll work through that. I am still getting almost all the benefits that I was getting from CPAP except I am dead tired from all the air leaks. With all the help I've gotton on this board though I think I'll work it out. Even with the struggles I'm going through since the pressure change I would not give up my CPAP because I want to live. So, yes CPAP is worth it.
