I think Katie's suggestion is a good one. My first sleep study was just for baseline, no titration, diagnosed with severe OSA and CPAP was at my house the next night. The sleep doc started me with an arbitrary pressure of 8 until titration, which resulted in a therapeutic pressure of 15. At the time I had no clue. Later, I was annoyed at having spent so much time on a way less than therapeutic pressure. But in retrospect I think that starting at the lower pressure really helped me to eventually tolerate the higher one. Maybe your sleep doc would be willing to cut you back and gradually increase the pressure.

I also think that once we've had a taste of how good we can feel when we're actually sleeping well, it's much harder to tolerate feeling debilitated again.

Hang in there, and good luck.

Ruby
