Tell the ENT you don't want to have surgery and that you want to use CPAP. If he or she won't prescribe it, go to another doctor (preferably a sleep specialist). If you can lose the weight, then you can stop using the CPAP after a sleep test confirms the weight loss worked. Weight loss does not always help.
