If you get dizzy when you do this be careful, as from my study of airsickness as part of pilot training we were told that very minor movents like this can make some people violently ill while it doesn't bother other people at all. From memory, some sensitive people will feel extremely nauseated (and take that to its ulitimate conclusion) simply by looking at their chest if they are revolving as slow as once every 3 seconds, time it and see how slow that is!! This generates the same sort of movement in the vestibular canals that Miss Duffys exercises may do. So if you are prone to car or airsickness, take it easy.

The best thing is that most (if not all) people can become "desensitized" to this motion sickness with time. Though in the RAAF this meant many sessions in the "vomitron" (basically a swivelling office chair with a handle so it can be turned while you sit on it and move your head around) and not a pleasant experience from all accounts.
