Is there organizations for research and assistance

One thing I am curious, are there organizations for sleep disorder people? It seems to me that there needs to be serious research and support and critical review of treatment. There also needs to be an advocacy group to clean the clocks of the insurance companies. I think the problem must be major. I suddenly see all these mattress ads in a new light, surely they are an exploitation of people suffering from sleep disorder. If you don't have a sleep disorder you can pretty much fall asleep anywhere you want.

Well I would be interested in knowing the name of such a society.

Thanks
