Thank you for the information. Especially the part about the "Sleep Lab" and "Sleep disorders center" and the difference between them.

Just for the record my friend doesn't doesn't smoke.

He doesn't want to try a CPAP. He already paid for a dental split without medical coverage. I may buy A CPAP for him if necessary. However, I want to know for sure this will do it. So far his doctor just thinks nothing can be done for sleep disorders and the other doctor is evidently just running a sleep lab.

Maybe there are loaner CPAPs, not that either of his two doctors will help in getting it.

I will be writing up letters for my friend and you have given me valuable information.
