YOur care providers do not exactly exhude confidence in medicine do they?

Do not worry. Stick to this forum and you will eventually figure it out for them.

The manufacturer of the autoset T recommends setting it for 4 to 20. The machine is designed to set itself (ideally). I personally think its a good starting point in a case like yours. If you use their mask ( the ultra mirage) it will not blow off easily, and will likely give good results.

After using it in this way for a while, say 4 weeks you can download the data and see where the mean and max pressures are. You can then set the lower number to something very close to where it acutally operates. Say the 95% point is 8. Set the min at 7 and leave the max at 20. The machine will then operate nearly at the optimum at the get go. It will adjust as required for variations in whatever. You will find that it will probably stick around the 8 quite a bit, sometimes going a couple of points higher. At differen't times of the year you may find the 95% point changing. If you do set it downward if required. If its higher let the machine do it for you.
