CPAP Test was awful!

Help! It was just awful. They ended it after about 3 hours. The mask was uncomfortable and I would wake up and not be able to sleep and feel pannicked. It felt like I was sitting there for hours unable to move freely or breath in a normal manner and of course there was no clock so there was no rational way to tell the passage of time. The tech says that I slept for a substantial part of the time, but all I remember is laying there in a mild panic. I'm so disappointed. I NEED this! I don't know what to do. Rationally I'm ready to try again, but I'm not sure I could do it emotionally. I need some encouragement.
