Terry and Amy-I did have the test's done EEG,MRI,C-scan by two different doctors and both said I didn't have epilepsy. The doctor did say I could never get off the medicine, which I wish I could. He said it was a combination of both the medicine and the CPAP that were keeping me from having more seizures. But after the first seizure I don't know if I would want to risk not taking meds., that one about did me in. When I woke my eyes were both blood red from the hemmoraging (not sure if thats the correct spelling) I guess due to lack of air. My face was also about as red from the same thing. I looked pretty bad for a few weeks, although I felt fine.
One thing I noticed, the aura's had went away for about 2 months before the seizure's. So now I think I would be concerned if the aura's went away again, the doctor didn't agree with that idea, but it makes sense to me. The CPAP has done wonders though, I sleep too good. I always wake up with a back ache from not changing positions all night. I've been on it about a year, it hasn't seemed to make any difference in the aura's but I haven't had any seizures. The doctor really thought the aura's would go away as well. I guess time will tell.
